All ACT training courses are designed to prepare actors for film and television, an industry built around a motion picture camera. To be a successful and capable actor, you need to understand the technical dynamics of performance in front of the camera.
Our courses are taught in a specific order; each training session builds onto the previous. Therefore, it is required that all students take the entire Foundation Course, start to finish. No one can begin the training mid-course.
Upon successful completion and graduation from the Foundation Course, one is eligible to participate in Advanced level classes, Special Studio Industry-Functions, quarterly roundtable - on camera- events with industry leaders, career management and on going exercise training. |

Actors Exercise Training: Are you in shape? |
Remain prepared for your On-Camera Auditions and On-Set Camera Work. Exercise Class is Always On-Camera, offered weekly at various times in a relaxed atmosphere. One-Actor or Two-Actor scenes are shot as if On-Set or in a Casting Office. Pop in, work on a scene and leave whenever you want. A lot like going to the gym!
|
| |
Advanced Class: For graduates of the basic curriculum (Foundation Course) |
Advanced Classes are:
multi-camera
multi-actor
multi-frame
full wardrobe
dressed sets with props
Instruction concentrates on working in and with extremely difficult technical on-camera/on-set procedures and issues. Each actor gets large amounts of on-camera work. The Advanced classes are very challenging and only Actors that have successfully completed the entire ACT Foundation Course will be accepted to participate.
Each Advance Class takes approximately 20 hours of class time. Sides for the class are available ahead of time. Actors are expected to be "set-ready" by the time the camera rolls.
These 20 hours are done intensively, often in one weekend, sometimes two. This is done as it more closely duplicates an on-set production. Advanced classes are not for the unskilled, but neither is the industry.
Each of the Advance Class Modules has its own, specific lesson-points, demands, which the actor gets to learn and enhance.

Crash Course/Review Course |
Two day On-Camera Intensive with a large amount of information and massive amounts of on-camera time devoted to each actor. The class dissects several film clips and prepares each actor for two very different on camera auditions. Auditions are before a 3 person panel. Course comes with lunch so as to maximize working time.
"I thought the course was life-changing...I would definitely recommend it for others who take their acting career seriously and passionately, like myself. You worked us, broke us down, were honest, and did not sugar coat...but still could make me smile if I was down!" Jennifer Fields
"THIS CLASS ROCKS IN ALL ASPECTS, THE HABITS THAT DON'T WORK YOU WILL KNOW IMMEDIATELY AND FIX IT. AN INVESTMENT THAT WILL KEEP YOUR BENEFITS COMING. DON'T MISS YOUR CHANCE! TAKE A.C.T. NOW."
Shawn Richards
"I never thought I could learn so much in such a short period of time. It's all right there on your tape...proof that I improved hugely as an actor in front of a camera. Thank you, thank you, thank you!" James Tobey
"I learned more in 2 days of this course than in 4 years of formal acting education!" Maricruz Hernandez
"The refresher course was a great, great weekend brush-up for me. Just four days after the course I had an audition for a nice co-star on "Grey's" ....... just heard I booked it today! Once again, I'm so grateful you guys are there! I'll be in touch soon, just wanted you to hear about the "instant results".....xxoo" Sheila Shaw |
